Dr. James Downs
There are two or perhaps three obvious descriptions of Dr. James Downs. All are germane. The most obvious relate to his individuality: down-to-earth, simplicity and honesty. These exceptional traits encourage an ideal dental educational environment.
Dr. James C Downs, D.M.D. received his degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1986. Since then, he has established technical excellence as a top priority in his practice by working with leading cosmetic clinicians in the country. To that end, Dr. Downs has become an expert in comprehensive restorative treatment by completing numerous full-mouth reconstruction cases.
He currently lectures for the Dr. Dick Barnes Group and maintains an aesthetic family oriented practice in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Downs’ lectures focus on smile design, splint therapy, full-mouth aesthetic rehabilitation and practice development.
His lectures are designed for those dentists who have never done full-arch dentistry and have trepidation about where to begin. It is also for those that may have done full-arch dentistry, but want an update on newest materials and the latest procedures. The entire procedure including, prep design, occlusal considerations, bite registration, impression technique and fabrication of temporaries will be discussed. Participants will become more comfortable in doing aesthetic dentistry by seeing combinations of preparation types, simple impressions and beautiful temporaries that don’t come off.
Clinically, his Over-The-Shoulder programs demonstrate simple efficient methods for full-arch aesthetic reconstruction. These programs have allowed doctors from across the globe to visualize the latest in aesthetic techniques in a comfortable and energetic environment.
